Dowe, William Henry, age 95, of Littleton, joined his Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 19, 1917. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jeanne, of 35 years, daughter, Janice Read of Connecticut and son, Kenneth B. Dowe of Wisconsin. His grandchildren include Harvey Lapan Jr. and Miclelle St. Pierre and great grandchildren, Brian Lapan, Dagon St. Pierre and Lilith St. Pierre. He was also loved and cherished by Jeanne's children, Harry Bull, Linda Harlas, Lynette Brookman, Larry Bull and daughters-in-law Lauren Bull and Jill Bull and son-in-law Glen Harlas and all of their children.
He went to work for the Glenn L. Martin Company in 1937. After serving in the Navy during WWII he returned to the Martin Company and continued his education graduating from the Maryland Institute and Baltimore College of Commerce. After more than 50 years of employment with Martin Marietta he retired.
Bill was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church and served in many church positions. His most recent and unique honor happened last year when he was awarded his 65 year pin from Friendship Masonic Lodge #185.
Bill was truly loved by all who knew him.
