Lucy Ann Schmied [09/30/1950 - 03/10/2013]

Schmied, Lucy Ann, age 62 of Littleton was received into God’s care on March 10, 2013. She was born in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Leonard C. and Betty J. (Millhollin) Coffey of Chillicothe and married Daniel K. Schmied on August 21, 1976 in Peoria. Lucy is survived by husband Daniel, children Jackie (Tino) Rodriguez of Castle Rock, CO; Dan Schmied of Littleton, CO and CD (Laura) Schmied of O’Fallon, IL; mother Betty Coffey; grandchildren Kayliana, Alexa and Lynniah Rodriguez of Castle Rock, CO and Ashlynn Schmied of O’Fallon, IL. Other survivors are her sister Linda (Robert) Williams; her brother Chester (Terry) Coffey and her sister-in-law Patricia Coffey. She was preceded in death by her father Leonard C. Coffey and a brother Leonard L. Coffey. Lucy was a word processor at Ballard Spahn LLP National Law Firm. She loved being with her grandchildren and traveling. She also has many nieces and nephews that were very special to her. Her quick smile and kind demeanor reflected her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family thanks the staff of Porter Hospice for their dedicated and loving care.
